Adding Members

Overview

ChurchNET organizes people by family units in the Directory.
Only users with App Admin permissions can create or edit families.

Regular users are able to update their own personal information, but cannot add new members.


Add a New Family

To create a new family in the ChurchNET mobile app:

  1. Open the Directory module.
  2. Tap the + (plus) icon in the app bar.
  3. Enter the family information:
    • Family last name
    • Parent/guardian first names
    • Children’s names
    • Profile photo (optional)
    • Contact information (phone number or email)

The contact information entered here is what members will use to log into ChurchNET.

  1. Tap the checkmark to save.

The family will now appear in the Directory.


Edit a Family

  1. Open the Directory module.
  2. Locate the family in the list.
  3. Tap the family name.
  4. Tap the pencil icon to enter edit mode.
  5. Update any information.
  6. Tap the checkmark to save changes.

Permissions

App Admins

App Admins can:

  • Add families
  • Edit any member
  • Update contact information
  • Enable logins

Regular Users

Regular users can:

  • Edit their own profile information
  • Update their personal contact information
  • Change their own photo

They cannot add or edit other families.
