Create Events
Events are the services or ministry gatherings that require volunteers.
An event is the foundation of the Volunteer Scheduling system.
Before you can assign volunteers or create a schedule, you must first create at least one event.
Examples of events include:
- Sunday Morning Worship
- Sunday Evening Service
- Wednesday Bible Study
- Youth Group
- Special Events
Each event will later have jobs (positions) assigned to it and volunteers scheduled to serve.
How to Create an Event
- Open the Volunteer Schedule module
- Tap the Admin button
- Select Create Events
- Tap Add Event
- Enter the event name
- Choose the service day
- Set the time of the event
- Save
The event will now be available when creating jobs and generating schedules.
Important Notes
- You only need to create an event once.
- Events are used repeatedly when generating future schedules.
- You can create multiple events if your church has multiple services or ministries.
